And after we compiled enough material to go in and cut our first record Infinity, we all listened to it and went, Wow, theres something here. And the label was freakin out, they were lovin it. Sometimes in the paper they'll write, "He played a boring, 20-minute drum solo," and I know perfectly well the guy just doesn't like drum solos, because I never play anything that long. Because Journey had made a conscious decision, along with Columbiaswhats the correct word hererequest [laughs] that they become a little more song-oriented. The traditional grip is more complicated, but it's easier for me to play. But the reason I do that is so I can listen back to all the things I played and pick out the parts that worked and sounded good. At this point, it seems that it will be a rock and roll album.
